How we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

Who we are
TechHirer ("we", "us") is a recruitment agency operating in Ireland. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you apply for a role through this site, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
What we collect
When you submit an application, we collect:
- Your name, email address, phone country code, and phone number
- Your current location and nationality
- Whether you already have the right to work in the role's country, or would need visa sponsorship
- Your CV/résumé file, if you upload one
- Any skills or notes you choose to include with your application
We do not require an account to apply, and we do not collect any data from you beyond what you submit on the application form.
How we use it
We use your data to:
- Assess your suitability for the role you applied to, and for other open roles
- Contact you about your application or other relevant opportunities
- Share your CV and application details with the hiring company for the role(s) you apply to, so they can evaluate you as a candidate
Our legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in running a recruitment service, and your consent, given by voluntarily submitting an application.
Where it's stored
Application data is stored with Supabase in an EU data region. CV files are kept in a private file store that only TechHirer administrators can access — they are never publicly accessible.
How long we keep it
We currently retain application data for as long as it may be relevant to recruitment activity. We do not yet operate an automated deletion schedule — if you would like your data deleted or corrected, contact us (see below) and we will action it manually.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to or restrict our processing of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
